The Festival Della Canzone Italiana di Sanremo (in English: Italian song festival of Sanremo) is the most popular Italian song contest and awards, held annually in the city of Sanremo, in Italy, and consisting of a competition amongst previously unreleased songs. Usually referred to as Festival di Sanremo, or outside Italy as Sanremo Music Festival or Sanremo Music Festival Award, it was the inspiration for the Eurovision Song Contest.
The first edition of the Sanremo Music Festival, held between 29 and 31 January 1951, Starting from 1955 all the editions of the Festival have been broadcast live by the Italian TV station Rai 1

Eurosonic Noorderslag is an annual four-day music showcase festival and conference held in January in Groningen, Netherlands.
The first three days of the festival feature artists from all over Europe, the last day of the festival features only Dutch artists.
The conference is held during all four days of the event.
Several awards are presented during Eurosonic Noorderslag: the European Border Breakers Awards (EBBA) , the European Festivals Awards, the Buma Cultuur Pop Award (Popprijs), the Pop Media Award (Pop Media Prijs),The Feather (De Veer), the "Iron Venue and Festival Animals" (Ijzeren Podiumdieren) and the Buma Music Meets Tech Award.

For more than 25 years, jazz and modern music have been presented to the public in Catalonia.
The musicians of modern jazz and the music of Catalonia allow all musicians to participate
Plaza de la Villa Gracia where these performances take place in eight groups during the four Sundays of September. With two consecutive free concerts starting at 12:00.
This year, the concerts are being expanded outside of Barcelona. The city of Bigues I Riells is about an hour from Barcelona in the local theater, with a day concert and a night concert
The festival ends on September 27 Hg'ambori jazz club in Barcelona, with a jazz concert experience RAI Castel
Jazz time is in September, but remember that the music lives all year round, jazz clubs in the city

Internationales Dixieland Festival Dresden is a jazz festival in Germany. It first took place in 1971. As Germany's oldest and Europe's biggest old-time jazz festival it is a firm fixture in the European scene. For eight days and seven nights, the capital of Saxony becomes Swingin' Dresden and draws up to around half a million jazz fans to the city. One of the annual highlights is the riverboat shuffle on the Elbe, when the world's oldest and largest fleet of paddle-steamers becomes a floating stage and festival-goers are invited to step aboard. The climax is the Dixieland parade through the city centre, which culminates in a farewell jazz session.
