The European Carnaval in Prague

The Eurocrawl takes place once a year in European cities such as Paris, Rome, Berlin, and Venice returns to Prague with masks, dance groups and music.

There are about 1,300 musicians, dancers, clowns from all over Europe. And this is a great opportunity to see a variety of costumes from different countries and although it is a Carnival of Central European is the same as the carnivals of South America with the same energy and grace

Public performances will be held at the Republic Square and Rudolfinum on Thursday - Saturday

The carnival parade will be a mass concert of all ensembles participating in it

Which will take place on Saturday, 27th of the month of Saturday in the route of the route: Radchenko Square, Narodova Street, Malostranska Square, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square.

The Netherlands also has a festival similar to Mardi Gras. The origin of the word Carnaval is carnem levare which means "to take away meat" in Latin, or carne vale, Latin for "farewell to meat". It marks the beginning of Lent leading up to Easter.

The carnival in the Netherlands is mainly held in the southern part of the Netherlands in the provinces of Noord-Brabant and Limburg, some parts of Zeeland and in eastern parts of Twenteand Gelderland. As with many popular festivals, people tend to loosen some moral codes and become laid-back or loose, which is based in the ancient role-reversal origins of Carnaval, including dressing in costumes.

Prague in February   musical surprise especially since every year there is "Carnival of Prague" (Carnavale Praha) . Like other Christian countries in the world, Carnival took place in the period before Lent, According to the traditions that preceded Christianity, were fasting period preceding the period of the festival.  word which literally means "removal of meat"). Of course, there is no better way to eat and drink 

 Around the city (and the country as a whole) will participate in street parties, parades masks, dancing, clowns, singers and children's activities. There is also a luxurious and impressive events more, in museums, castles, theaters and galleries.

One of the first major festivals of the year in Madeira, is Madeira carnival known as one of the best in Europe. Traditionally there are two main Carnival parades in Madeira, which are very different from each other. The allegoric parade, which takes place always on the Saturday of the Carnival weekend, . Numerous Samba groups with thousands of participants in magnificent and colourful costumes dance to electrifying Samba music through the streets of Funchal, spreading an ambiance evoking the Rio Carnival.

The second parade, called ‘trapalhão’, is older and used to occur all over the island, now it floods the streets of the city centre with thrilling joy on Terça-feira Gorda, ending the Carnival period. In this parade everybody can take part and the – sometimes quite daring – costumes and depicted caricatures are left to the participants’ own imagination.

Both parades have a defined itinerary in the city centre and end at the Municipal Square (Praça do Município) where more entertainment with live music and costume competitions is provided.

At least one month before the Carnival peak time the best-known and established Carnival groups visit the hotels and entertain the guests with dance and music performances.

The holiday of Mardi Gras is celebrated in Southern Louisiana,. The largest and most elaborate parades take place the last five days of the Mardi Gras season. In the final week, many events occur throughout New Orleans and surrounding communities, including parades and balls (some of them masquerade balls).

The parades in New Orleans are organized by social clubs known as krewes; most follow the same parade schedule and route each year.

In Italy Mardi Gras is called Martedì Grasso (Fat Tuesday). It's the main day of Carnival along with the Thursday before, called Giovedí Grasso (Fat Thursday), which ratifies the start of the celebrations. The most famous Carnivals in Italy are in Venice, Viareggio and Ivrea. Ivrea has the characteristic "Battle of Oranges" that finds its roots in medieval times. The Italian version of the festival is spelled Carnevale

The carnival in Venice was first recorded in 1268. The Carnival of Venice (Italian: Carnevale di Venezia) is an annual festival held in Venice, Italy. The Carnival ends with the Christian celebration of Lent, forty days before Easter, on Shrove Tuesday (Martedì Grasso or Mardi Gras), the day before Ash Wednesday.

The festival is world famous for its elaborate masks.The subversive nature of the festival is reflected in the many laws created over the centuries in Italy attempting to restrict celebrations and often banning the wearing of masks.

Masks have always been a central feature of the Venetian carnival; traditionally people were allowed to wear them between the festival of Santo Stefano (St. Stephen's Day, December 26) at the start of the carnival season and midnight of Shrove Tuesday.

The event takes place in Berlin and is a four-day urban festival that reflects the many faces of Berlin. The public space is becoming a large-scale event. Bands, professional choirs and amateurs, children and adults participate in the concluding parade through Kreuzberg.
